Berlin, 16 April 2013 –PSI Metals GmbH, a wholly owned PSI subsidiary, founded the PSI Metals Brazil Ltda. in the first quarter of 2013 and opened a branch office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With the new business, PSI is strengthening its activities in the Latin American market, increasing the on-site support of existing PSI customers and simultaneously expanding their regional sales activities.
PSI Metals has been represented by local consultants in Brazil for over 10 years. To improve the regional customer service in the strategically important, growing market in Latin America, the local consulting team is being expanded to meet the market needs.
Amongst the PSI customers in Latin America there are such renowned companies as Villares Metals, Vallourec Sumitomo do Brazil, ThyssenKrupp CSA, Tenaris, Ternium, ArcelorMittal, AHMSA and Sidor. Building up of a local sales organization at the site in Rio de Janeiro also allows for comprehensive solutions by PSI Metals to be made available to all the steel producers on-site.
